What cover is available?
What you pay depends on the type of cover you want and when you want claims to be paid from.
You can choose from:
  • Accident, Sickness and Unemployment cover
  • Accident & Sickness only cover
  • Unemployment only cover (only if you are moving home)
30-day or 90-day?
Depending on how long you are happy to wait for your benefit, we offer two payment options. Choosing the 30-day option means you can claim after you’ve been unable to work for 30 days or more – with a full monthly benefit due on the 31st day. This effectively pays your claim from the first day you are unable to work.

Choosing the 90-day option you would be entitled to a full month's benefit on the 91st day. This effectively pays your claim from the 61st day you are unable to work.

The difference in premium is relatively small, so 30-day works well for most people. But if, for example, you get full pay when you are off sick or if you have savings, the 90-day option can be attractive.
